Hot Water Extraction Carpet Cleaning Dry Time
A recent customer of ours decided to try out our service and the "hot water extraction carpet cleaning" method. For years, the family had used a "dry cleaning" method instead. To much of their surprise, the carpet looks 10 times better and 7 years newer. They were thrilled with the end result and now have become believers of our method. But a question and a concern of the customer was that it took all day to dry. This unfortunately is the nature of the beast. During hot water extraction the carpet is injected with water under pressure and the excess is removed out of the carpet. However, the carpet remains wet. On average it takes between 6-8 hours to dry completely. Better air flow in the home will help the carpet dry faster. Turn on the HVAC unit and ceiling fans. The carpet will only feel "cold" to the touch, or damp feeling to your feet. You are able to walk on the carpet when cleaning is complete. However at Carpet Cleaning Atlanta at Magic Carpet Inc. we recommend that you stay off the carpet as long as possible to avoid soiling the fibers when wet. To avoid dirt and fluids from penetrating the fibers, you might want to consider the Teflon Carpet Protector application. This creates an invisible barrier that repels soils, oils, and fluids from penetrating the fibers and causing spots and stains. For more information please visit our website.
